Love Panic Live? Buzznet wants YOU
Posted on 26 Aug 2008 by Angel
" Over at the Buzznet HQ, we’ve been waiting with ants in our pants to let you in on some updates to our tour pages that’ve been in the works for quite some time. Now that all the kinks have been worked out, I have an interesting bit of Panic info: Buzznet has over 300 archived PATD tour dates. Other features on the updated pages include RSVP lists of fans who attended, wanted to go, or who missed out, and photo/video archives – specific to each show on every tour! In the end we hope these pages will create a fully documented history of Panic (and Panic!) at the Disco’s live performances"

Although Brendon Urie is not singing on these tracks, the mood of each song is still set. This tribute gives you the chance to really hear the whole song. Melodies in songs such as "Northern Downpour" are masked by beautiful vocals, while others like "She's a Handsome Woman" are infringed by Ryan's distortion pedal. This CD illustrates how melodic "Pretty. Odd"really is.

"We Are so Starving" being the first track, it was the first one I listened to. My very first impression was that all of the songs were going to sound very similar to the original CD, which would have bored me. But was I wrong. I have heard many other tributes to bands, and this one is the best one I have ever heard. They have kept the complexity of the songs and have made it their own. All of the remakes are really good, the best one that came to mind is "Northern Downpour". While the cello keeps a steady beat, the violin and viola work wonders. The warmth the viola's sound spills is like dark chocolate for the mind. Their rendition of"When the Day Met the Night" is exceptional. It made me fall in love with the song all over again when I heard the sweet sound of the violin. It is a little hard to follow though. There are times where I got lost on which part was playing because I liked following along with the lyrics. So there was a bit of confusion on that end, but it is easy to ignore because the rest of the song is sensational.

Not only do strings do the slow songs justice, but the happier ones too. "I Have Friends in Holy Places" is actually most substancial on strings than Panic's. It has a clearer sound, which I do know Panic purposely made their's a little grainy, but it does the song justice hearing it clear. "Mad as Rabbits" also keeps its "spunk" on this CD. For those not impressed with Ryan's voice on "Behind the Sea" will also have a chance to hear the beauty of the song without the monotone of Ryan's voice. I can also get through the whole song without laughing. We all know how hilarious the end of the song is, most do not know what they are really saying at the end, and how it relates to the song. The string version is much better, but if you're looking for entertainment, stick with the old one.

This CD is very universal, and I believe there are many people who would like it. People who want to sing Panic at the Disco songs, I highly reccomend using this CD to help you. It is extremely easy to sing along to... and almost impossible not to. Not only is it good for singers, but all muscians. Like I have restated, you can hear all of the song. You can hear the cello and violin equally, and you can really get a feel for the rythm in the songs. For those who are tired of hearing the same songs, and who are barely panic fans, this will keep you holding on for awhile.

Site news:
I have been working on a new layout. I am having a lot of trouble with it though. It probably won't be done this month, but likely next month. One other staff memeber and myself have been discussing revamping the site (and to everyone who still checks the site daily, WE LOVE YOU). We will try our best to make the site a thousand times better than it was. Anyone who wants to help us revamp the site, and has a good amount of experience with photoshop/or illustrator/or dreamweaver, please don't hesistate to email me at:

Pictures from First day of tour
Posted on 14 Apr 2008 by Angel
At 10am on Thursday, April 10, multiple tour buses blocked traffic outside The Warfield and husky men unloaded gear for the kick off of the Honda Civic Tour featuring Panic at the Disco, Motion City Soundtrack, The Hush Sound and Phantom Planet—a lineup whose fanbase may or may not be old enough to actually drive. 12 hours later, inside The Warfield, screaming teens flanked the stage, standing beneath a projector screen displaying text messages sent by people in the audience. They were ready to dance, cheer, scream and....
